Due to the way Microsoft products don't properly hand off links/cookies to a web browser, it's not possible to embed functioning AEA Digital Library Persistent, and Player-Only links, directly in Microsoft Word and Excel documents.
As a work around, it's recommended that a Word or Excel document be exported as a Adobe PDF file for final distribution. AEA Digital Library Persistent, and Player-Only links function correctly when placed inside a PDF document.
